Accessibility Statement

1. What this statement covers
1.1. This statement is about this website, which Payday Loans Ltd runs.
1.2. It tells you how accessible this website is, what we know is wrong with it, and how to tell us if something stops you using it.
1.3. It does not cover the application journey. When you start an application you are taken to separate software, which we have not tested. Nothing here tells you anything about how accessible that is, and we would rather say so than let you assume.
1.4. We are required to make reasonable adjustments for disabled people under the Equality Act 2010, and we intend to.
2. How accessible this website is
2.1. This website is fully conformant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2, at level AA.
2.2. Fully conformant means we know of nothing on this website that fails that standard.
2.3. That is not the same as a promise that nothing is wrong. It is what our own testing found, and section 5 sets out plainly what we have not tested.
2.4. Until 2 September 2026 this statement recorded a problem with our customer review widget. We removed the third-party widget and now show the same reviews ourselves, which fixed it. Section 6 says what we did and what we measured.
3. What we know is not accessible
3.1. Nothing, at the time of writing.
3.2. That will not stay true by itself. We change this website often, and the next change could break something. If you find a barrier, tell us using section 7 and we will list it here.
4. What we are doing about it
4.1. We will keep testing as we change this website, rather than treating this statement as finished.
4.2. We will have this website assessed by an independent auditor, rather than relying only on our own testing.
4.3. We will test with people who use assistive technology, which section 5 explains we have not yet done.
4.4. We have not put dates against 4.1 to 4.3. We would rather you judged us on what we actually do than on a timetable we invented.
5. What we have not tested
5.1. We have not tested this website with people who use assistive technology. That includes screen reader users, voice control users and switch users.
5.2. Automated tools find only some accessibility problems. They find none of the ones that depend on whether something actually makes sense to read.
5.3. We have not had this website checked for plain English by anyone independent.
5.4. We tested one page of each kind rather than every page, except for the check described at 6.7.
5.5. We have not tested the application journey, as 1.3 explains.
6. How we tested
6.1. We first tested this website on 6 August 2026, and tested it again on 1 September and 3 September 2026.
6.2. We tested it ourselves. No independent auditor has assessed it.
6.3. We used Chrome on a desktop computer.
6.4. We used the axe-core testing engine, checking against the WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 rules at levels A and AA.
6.5. We moved through each page we tested using only a keyboard, and recorded whether we could see where the keyboard focus was at each step.
6.6. We checked headings, page regions, image alternative text and form labels.
6.7. We checked the heading order on all 65 pages of this website, not a sample. No page skips a heading level, no page has more than one main heading, and no page is missing one.
6.8. We tested at 320, 900 and 1280 pixels wide, and at 200% zoom.
6.9. Every page can be used at 320 pixels wide without scrolling sideways, which is the width the standard uses for testing.
6.10. Automated testing of the pages we tested reports no failures at level A or level AA. Where the automated tool could not judge the contrast of white text on our purple gradient, we measured it by hand: it ranges from 8.75:1 to 11.13:1, against the 4.5:1 the standard asks for.
6.11. Every page has a "Skip to main content" link as its first stop, so you can jump past the header in one press.
6.12. The two moving strips on our home page each have a pause button. Both stop on their own if your device asks for reduced motion.
6.13. Our customer reviews used to come from a widget supplied by Trustpilot, displayed inside embedded frames we could not change. Getting past it with a keyboard took about twenty presses of the Tab key, and those stops had no names and showed no visible focus.
6.14. We removed that widget on 2 September 2026 and now show the same Trustpilot reviews ourselves. Every control is a real button or link with a name, and the review cards, the Invited badge, the review count and the Trustpilot logo all lead where the original did.
7. Telling us about a problem
7.1. Tell us if anything on this website stops you doing what you came to do. We would rather hear it than not.
7.2. Tell us which page you were on and what happened. That is usually enough for us to find it.
7.3. Email us at customerservice@paydayuk.co.uk, call us on 0800 302 9409 (free from UK landlines and mobiles), or write to us at Payday Loans Ltd, The Charter Building, Charter Place, Uxbridge, UB8 1JG.
7.4. We will reply within 5 working days.
7.5. Ask for our reply in large print, in plain text, or by phone instead of in writing, and that is how you will get it.
7.6. Ask for anything on this website in a different format and we will provide it.
7.7. You can make a formal complaint instead if you would rather. Our complaints procedure explains how.
8. If you are not satisfied with our response
8.1. The Equality Act 2010 requires service providers to make reasonable adjustments for disabled people.
8.2. The Equality Advisory and Support Service gives free, independent advice if you are not satisfied with how we have responded.
8.3. Payday Loans Ltd is a private company and not a public body, so the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018 do not apply to this website.
8.4. We follow the standard those regulations use, because it is the recognised one. We are not claiming to be covered by them.
9. Keeping this statement up to date
9.1. We will review this statement at least once a year.
9.2. We will review it whenever we make a significant change to this website.
9.3. Nothing in this statement takes away your rights under the Equality Act 2010.
